Your body is changing as your baby develops. Hormone levels are rising and physical changes can occur as a result. Breast changes are commonly regarded as the first sign of pregnancy, where the areolas (skin around your nipples) gets darker and can be more prominent. By your sixth week of pregnancy, you will notice your breasts enlarging which can bring about a tingling sensation and tenderness. It is estimated that the growth of the breast continues throughout pregnancy to 2lbs/900g so a good maternity support bra is advisable to facilitate this change.
