When he’s two months old you’ll probably notice your baby has developed the following characteristics:
His vision is developing and he can focus on objects that are up to 8 inches away and follow them with his eyes if they’re moving around. This means he’s getting interested in more complex designs and colours.
Your baby’s gaining weight quickly and is putting on as much as 2lb a month.
He’s sleeping far less and is awake for up to 10 hours a day.
As he gets stronger he can hold his head up for a few seconds at a time.
You may now be getting rewarded for all your efforts with your new baby by some lovely smiles.
His movements have become far smoother and less jerky.
Remember your baby is due his Meningitis C and DPT immunisations this month.
The DPT is also known as five in one and includes diptheria, whooping cough, (pertussis), tetanus, Hib (haemophilus influenzae B) and polio.
