Your baby will respond very positively to any kind of stimulation you give him at this age, and it will aid in his physical, mental and emotional development. So take all the opportunities you can to interact with your baby by talking, singing and playing with him.
You can also try blowing raspberries and making faces at him, to try and stimulate the lovely giggles babies are starting to produce at this age.
It’s safe to place your baby on his tummy for a short time to play, but make sure you stay with him and you’re ready to pick him up as soon as he gets tired as he may still struggle to hold up his head and neck at this age. Try using a brightly coloured toy just within reaching distance to stimulate his reactions and his hand to eye co-ordination.
